Beautifully shared Bonnie, I keep hearing and have for some time. "There is much blooming in the mist..." even though we can't yet see the tangible past the fog, this new foundation we build is ripe with life and connection has something growing under the surface:
this part was particularly profound: "Now? I’ve learned to trust when my internal GPS directs me toward slowness and spaciousness. I’m okay with the seemingly lack of progress and outcomes"
"There is much blooming in the mist..." -- what a beautiful message and I really resonate with it very much. These days it feels like I'm gliding through mud and water among mist and fog - and the only way is to keep breathing and keep going. Thanks for sharing, Megan. Always grateful for your wisdom and our far-flung connection.
Recently I've learned the indigenous name Birrarung (for the main river in Melbourne) means "a place of mist and shadow" where the First People, animals and plants flourished before colonisation. So much to unlearn and reindigenise as individuals and the collective.
The world feels very large right now. Someone said in an online group recently, something shifts when you think about not what I need to 'do', but rather what do I need to 'be'. Thank you for your words - they've often landed for me.
I must say this. I like you and have enjoyed your writing. Writing is your gift not your torture. I will read portions of this today to some of my friends. Stay well and love from NY!
Dear Jeanne, wow - your comment brought me to tears. Thank you so much for being here, reading and sharing my words. I'm forever grateful. I'll let you know when I return to writing publicly again. Big love and hugs to you in NY 🤎
Thank you Bonnie, for being here so honest, vulnerable and authentic. I was thinking of you yesterday, wondering what's going on for you, because it had been a while since your last post. I understand your considerations for stopping here and I just hope that you will continue writing, because you are good at it! I wish you all the best and beautiful new opportunities and experiences on the path that lies ahead! ❤️
Dear Frederiek, thank you for being here and for your support from afar. Your presence means a lot to me. I'll continue writing for sure. It's just I want to write something different at somewhere different. And it'll take time to create anew. Let's stay in touch - I'll let you know when I start sharing my essays publicly again. Sending love and take care 🤎

Yes - shifting from doing to being. Appreciate your presence and I wish one day we'll have a long yarn in person! 🤎
Keep listening to your internal GPS, Bonnie. I love how honest and reflective you are. I will miss you.
Thanks, Melody. As always, I appreciate you being the beacon of light in a dark world 🤎
In your own way, my friend, you are too. You are an inspiration! My inspiration.

The most powerful thing in life is to walk away from something that is no longer working for you. X
Exactly. To make space for new possibilities and opportunities.
